SearchPlus HR is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join a leading hospital in the UAE. This opportunity is ideal for internationally trained specialists holding American Board Certification and possessing extensive experience in the surgical management of complex conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and associated structures.
The successful candidate will provide advanced surgical care, manage complex maxillofacial cases, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and surgically manage conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and oral and maxillofacial structures.
- Perform dentoalveolar surgery, including complex tooth extractions and impacted tooth removal.
- Manage facial trauma, maxillofacial fractures, and associated soft-tissue injuries.
- Perform corrective jaw surgery for dentofacial deformities and skeletal discrepancies, where indicated.
- Manage oral and maxillofacial cysts, benign tumours, and other relevant surgical conditions.
- Assess and treat temporomandibular joint disorders within the scope of specialist practice.
- Provide surgical management of infections involving the oral cavity, jaw, and facial structures.
- Collaborate with orthodontists, restorative dentists, ENT specialists, plastic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments and provide postoperative care and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to infection-control, patient-safety, and clinical governance standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, and continuing professional development.
Requirements
- Medical degree, dental degree, or the recognised professional qualifications required for the relevant specialist pathway.
- American Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, recognised and accepted by the relevant UAE health authority.
- Substantial specialist-level experience in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex maxillofacial conditions and surgical cases.
- Strong clinical judgement, surgical skills, and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities.
- Excellent communication and patient-management skills.
- Eligibility for Consultant-level professional licensing in the UAE, subject to the relevant health authority's qualification, experience, and classification requirements.
