As Corporate Communications Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of integrated communications that strengthen Unilabs' reputation, build trust and drive engagement with employees, leaders, customers, partners, media and other key stakeholders.
With primary responsibility for external communications, media relations and corporate storytelling, you will also support executive communications, strategic business initiatives and other organisational priorities. Working closely with leaders and colleagues across the business, you will help shape compelling narratives and bring our strategy to life through clear, engaging and impactful communications.
This is a hands-on role for a strong communications professional who enjoys combining strategic thinking with practical delivery.
Corporate Communications and Reputation Management
· Lead the planning and delivery of integrated corporate communications activities that support business priorities.
· Shape compelling narratives and messaging that bring Unilabs' strategy, priorities and achievements to life for different stakeholder groups.
· Identify opportunities to showcase the impact of our people, expertise, innovation and services through corporate communications activity.
· Support reputation management and provide communications guidance on sensitive business issues, organisational developments and emerging risks.
· Manage media relations activity, including proactive storytelling, media enquiries, press releases, statements, briefing materials and journalist engagement.
· Develop press releases, statements, briefing materials, key messages, Q&As and other external communications materials.
· Monitor the external environment and identify reputational opportunities and risks.
· Contribute to crisis and issues communications planning and response, developing key messages, holding statements, FAQs and supporting materials as required.
· Manage external communications agencies and partners, ensuring high-quality delivery and strong business outcomes.
Strategic Communications and Leadership Support
· Develop and deliver executive communications, leadership messaging and thought leadership activities across the organisation.
· Develop key messages, presentations, FAQs, briefing documents and communication materials that support strategic initiatives and business priorities.
· Partner with leaders and stakeholders to translate complex topics into clear, engaging and audience-focused communications.
Content, Stakeholder Management and Continuous Improvement
· Oversee corporate content across priority external channels, including the company website, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
· Partner closely with the Editorial Manager to align content priorities, storytelling opportunities and communication activity.
· Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and act as a trusted communications partner, providing advice and support where needed.
· Measure and evaluate communications effectiveness, identifying opportunities to strengthen impact and engagement.
· Promote communications best practice, governance and consistency across the organisation.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline.
· 7+ years' experience in corporate communications, public relations, external communications or a related field.
· Experience developing and delivering integrated communication strategies, plans and campaigns.
· Strong media relations and reputation management experience.
· Experience supporting executive communications and senior leadership messaging.
· Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and create compelling narratives.
· Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working within complex, international organisations.
· Experience managing sensitive communications and supporting issues or crisis communications activity.
· Experience working across a broad range of communications channels, platforms and audiences.
· Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Copilot and modern communications tools.
· Experience in healthcare, professional services, consulting or other regulated environments is advantageous.
