We are looking for a skilled DSP Engineer with strong experience in Digital Signal Processing, Radar Signal Processing, Defence, Aerospace, or Avionics systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing signal-processing algorithms for sophisticated sensing, communication, radar, and mission-critical systems.

This role requires a strong foundation in DSP concepts, mathematical modelling, algorithm development, and real-time signal-processing implementation. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to translate system requirements into reliable and high-performance signal-processing solutions for defence and aerospace applications.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, simulate, and optimize digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for defence, aerospace, avionics, radar, and related applications.
  • Develop algorithms for radar signal processing, including detection, estimation, filtering, tracking, classification, and target identification.
  • Work on signal-processing techniques such as FFT/IFFT, FIR/IIR filtering, digital modulation, spectral analysis, correlation, convolution, sampling, and noise reduction.
  • Translate system-level requirements into robust and efficient DSP architectures and algorithms.
  • Implement and optimize algorithms using C/C++, MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or other relevant engineering tools.
  • Perform algorithm modelling, simulation, verification, validation, and performance analysis using real and simulated datasets.
  • Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, embedded software, RF, systems, and avionics engineering teams for end-to-end product development.
  • Optimize DSP implementations for real-time and resource-constrained systems, considering latency, throughput, memory, and computational efficiency.
  • Analyze signal-processing performance and troubleshoot issues related to noise, interference, synchronization, detection, and signal integrity.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical documentation, testing, integration, and system-level validation.
  • Contribute to the development of mission-critical systems while maintaining high standards of reliability, quality, and engineering discipline.

Must-Have Skills

  • 3–12 years of relevant experience in DSP, digital signal processing, radar signal processing, or closely related engineering domains.
  • Professional experience in Defence, Defense, Aerospace, Avionics, Radar, Electronic Warfare, Communication Systems, or related mission-critical technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Digital Signal Processing fundamentals and mathematical concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Radar Signal Processing or signal-processing algorithms used in sensing and detection systems.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Knowledge of signal-processing algorithms including FFT, filtering, spectral analysis, detection, estimation, correlation, and noise/interference mitigation.
  • Ability to develop and validate algorithms through simulation and real-world data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with FPGA-based DSP implementation, embedded systems, or real-time signal processing.
  • Knowledge of radar systems, tracking algorithms, electronic warfare, SDR, RF systems, or wireless communications.
  • Exposure to Python, CUDA/GPU processing, VHDL/Verilog, or high-performance computing.
  • Experience working with hardware-in-the-loop or software-in-the-loop testing.
  • Understanding of avionics standards, defence systems, or safety-critical development processes.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
