ROLE REPORTS TO: Director of eCommerce Sales

ROLE DESCRIPTION: Collaborate and support the Director of eCommerce Sales to ensure all pillars within the eCommerce channel are properly executed. Work cross-functionally (trade, brand, national accounts, customer marketing) to provide day-to-day selling into the eCommerce channel through a wider and deeper reach into expanded digital shelf universe. Execute eCommerce plans, visibility, and selling tools for national trade sales/programming initiatives and 4th tier digital shelf platforms and vendors (Door Dash, Instacart, CityHive, Salsify). Additional focus on executing programs, tactics, and tools to sell and activate across national and regional accounts, pure play accounts, and local stores. Audit accounts locally to maximize opportunity online to match in-store distribution.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

eCommerce Sales Responsibilities: 35%

  • Execution/implementation of eCommerce assets, sales tools, and incremental opportunities across major programming windows and evergreen programs.
  • Integration of strategy, data, and results from brand platforms and agency team into selling tools and programming decks.
  • Manage internal creative team timelines and key development milestones to ensure effective eCommerce-specific content is captured and used for base asset packages and national programs when applicable.
  • Develop and deliver documents/sales materials and training tools for key sales and field sales discussions.
  • Manage and maintain the process to audit retailer and distributor websites to ensure digital content accuracy.
  • Lead publication efforts of key brand content across retailer websites and distributor team’s digital portals throughout the calendar year.
  • Proactively suggest and recommend ideas to improve our eCommerce plans.

Ecommerce Customer Responsibilities 35%

  • Work with Director of eCommerce Sales and cross-functional sales and marketing teams to create/present custom ecommerce programming submissions.
  • Priority RFP’s i.e. Raley’s, Hy-Vee, ABC, Amazon.
  • Source custom materials/POS that may be needed for omni-channel retailer programs (grocery pick-up, delivery, etc.)
  • Track and coordinate resizing needs and creative requests across digital assets for execution and publication.
  • Distributor Management & Support: Provide assets when needed and approve digital assets prior to publishing. Communicate brand creative and communication standards to external parties.
  • Manage legal process and guidelines on eCommerce programming.
  • Assist with monthly landscape analysis to ensure publishers go live and quarterly program recaps/distributor engagement presentations and training sessions are captured.

Ecommerce Sales Platform Support/Analytics: 20%

  • Build, track, and manage digital assets within Bynder (DAM/DAL), create occasion-specific collections and track creative insights, downloads, engagement, etc.
  • Create report cards/dashboards to monitor and provide recommendations relating to site functionality for retail teams, including search and navigation capabilities, promotional opportunities, digital shelf accuracy, social media execution.
  • Support eCommerce dashboard and additional digital and eCommerce insights to share with internal teams/leadership, as well as distributor teams.
  • Leverage insights from shoppable media team to create recommendations and sales stories for retail team/customer meetings.
  • Support across Salsify platform including, but not limited to:
  • Retailer or platform tracking and troubleshooting (audits, digital scorecard, etc.).
  • Vendor portal management and publish uploads (City Hive, Salsify, etc.).
  • Onboarding and updating new platforms or teams with assets and copy.
  • Enhanced content creation and management.
  • Work directly with Director of eCommerce Sales and digital agency teams & internal creative teams to brief, create, and execute digital content via ePOS, photoshoots, video, etc.
  • Work with ratings & reviews team to moderate and publish review content, monitor, and ensure syndication is set up and working properly to applicable retailers, as well as include relevant reporting metrics from review portal in account specific report cards and brand team share-out’s.

Administrative and Organizational: 10%

  • Assist in trafficking projects through internal teams and external creative vendors.
  • Manage invoice submissions and vendor payments for sales eCommerce initiatives.

KEY SKILLS:

  • Recognize emerging trends and opportunities in digital channels, maximize Fifth Generation Distilled Spirits, Inc. potential to increase business value in digital space.
  • Collaboration across multiple FGDS teams and customer or distributor teams.
  • Creativity, particularly good at identifying strategically sound, commercially strong solutions.
  • Selling, being able to help support account team to sell in ideas.
  • Organization and detail, managing multiple programs, elements with varying timelines.
  • Communication, both written and oral, ensuring all parties are always clear and current.
  • Design and implement critical operating processes necessary for effective execution including alignment with agencies, vendors, and ordering platforms.
  • Technology: understand key technology drivers for spirits digital channels.
  • Legal and Compliance understand and ensure compliance with legal regulations associated with state and federal spirits laws

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in eCommerce sales/digital merchandising and branding with proven results, preference given to candidates in brand start-up or brand-extension environment with wide-range process development experience.
  • 4-year college degree
  • Alcoholic beverage experience a plus
  • 15%-20%+ travel
