The posting

Apt Resources is seeking a skilled and experienced Female Private Chef to work for an Omani family in Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing daily meals, planning menus according to the family's preferences, maintaining high standards of food hygiene, and ensuring the kitchen is clean and well organized. The ideal candidate should have strong culinary skills, experience in private household cooking, and the ability to prepare a variety of dishes while accommodating the family's dietary preferences and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily meals for the family according to their preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Plan menus and recommend dishes suitable for the family's tastes and lifestyle.
  • Prepare a variety of cuisines and dishes based on the household's requirements.
  • Ensure that all meals are prepared using fresh ingredients and appropriate cooking techniques.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and food safety.
  • Manage kitchen supplies, monitor ingredient availability, and prepare shopping lists when required.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of food items.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and cooking areas in clean and good working condition.
  • Accommodate special dietary requirements, food allergies, and meal preferences where applicable.
  • Coordinate meal preparation schedules with the family or household staff.
  • Maintain discretion and professionalism while working in a private household.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and served according to the family's schedule and expectations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Private Chef, Household Chef, Personal Cook, or in a similar culinary role.
  • Proven ability to prepare a variety of meals and cuisines to a high standard.
  • Good knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen hygiene, and food safety practices.
  • Ability to plan menus and manage ingredients efficiently.
  • Experience catering to individual or family preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Trustworthy, discreet, and professional approach to working in a private household.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily meal preparation responsibilities.
  • Good communication skills and a flexible, service-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to work on either a live-in or live-out basis in Oman.
