We are looking for a highly adaptable and hands-on Forward Deployment Engineer to work at the intersection of engineering, product, and business. The role is focused on taking technology from early concepts and prototypes to reliable production solutions that address real-world business problems.

The ideal candidate will combine strong software engineering skills with a practical, customer-focused mindset. You will work directly with stakeholders to understand complex challenges, rapidly build solutions, integrate them with existing systems, and take ownership through deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with business and product teams to understand complex problems and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Rapidly prototype, develop, integrate, and deploy production-quality applications and services.
  • Own solutions end-to-end, from discovery and technical design through development, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and operate near the business problem rather than functioning solely as a central engineering resource.
  • Integrate applications with existing APIs, platforms, data sources, and enterprise systems.
  • Design and develop reusable components, services, integrations, and engineering patterns that can scale across teams.
  • Participate across the full engineering lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in live production environments.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Platform, Infrastructure, and other technology teams to ensure enterprise standards are met.
  • Use data, experimentation, and stakeholder feedback to iterate rapidly and demonstrate measurable impact.
  • Identify opportunities where AI, GenAI, LLMs, AI agents, and automation can solve meaningful business challenges.
  • Document technical solutions, implementation approaches, and learnings to support broader adoption.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, development practices, and a strong culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Balance speed, scalability, maintainability, and reuse when making technical decisions.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, solutions engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building and deploying production applications.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, or C#.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM applications, AI agents, data engineering, or analytics.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of databases, data structures, application architecture, and system integration.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software development practices.
  • Understanding of observability, logging, monitoring, debugging, and production troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with containers and/or Kubernetes.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and converting loosely defined business problems into working technical solutions.
  • Ability to move quickly between discovery, prototyping, production engineering, and deployment.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder orientation with the ability to work directly with senior business and technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical capabilities.
  • Pragmatic engineering mindset with the ability to determine when to prototype quickly, engineer for scale, or reuse existing capabilities.
  • Strong ownership mindset focused on business outcomes and measurable impact, not just technical deliverables.
  • Experience in cloud-native development, API/platform integration, DevOps/SRE, financial services, regulated environments, enterprise transformation, or rapid innovation engineering will be an advantage.
