Under the direction of the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor, the Housekeeping Aide is responsible for the cleanliness all areas of the facility by following housekeeping and infection control procedures.
Salary: $22.93 per hour

Qualifications:
- Must have a grade 12 secondary school diploma
- Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
- Experience with environmental programs preferred

Hours of Work:
- Available 7 days/week

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs duties of housekeeping services as per job routines
- Participates as required in the formulation and review of policies and procedures, goals and objectives
- Performs delegated tasks safely and effectively
· Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility by completing on a routine basis the scheduled cleaning of all areas of the facility unless otherwise indicated
· Follows established cleaning procedures and comply to procedures stated in the infection control section of the Housekeeping and Laundry Services policy and procedure manual as well as established safety guidelines
· Responsible for the reporting of any concerns regarding the daily routine, equipment malfunctions, required building repairs and safety concerns to the Environmental Services Manager and/or Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor
- Participates as a team player and cooperates with other departments
· Responsible for maintaining a sanitary environment
· Follows daily routines established to meet the objectives of the department
· Completes records regarding department responsibilities
- Ensures a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff
- Attends and participates in interdisciplinary care conferences as required

Occupational Health and Safety
- Complies with the legislative, regulatory and internal responsibilities as set forth in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including health and safety, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Workplace Violence, Fitness for Duty etc.
- Advises supervisor/designate immediately of any incident that may result in an Occupational Accident Claim, any concerns with the physical plant, incidents or injuries and completes required forms.
