A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking qualified Junior and Senior Specialist Periodontists to join its dental team. The successful candidates will diagnose, treat, and manage periodontal diseases and provide specialized care for gum health, supporting tissues, and dental implant-related periodontal conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage gingivitis, periodontitis, and other periodontal conditions.
- Perform periodontal examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide nonsurgical periodontal treatments, including scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
- Perform periodontal surgical procedures, including flap surgery and regenerative procedures, where appropriately trained.
- Manage gum recession and soft-tissue defects using appropriate periodontal techniques.
- Assess periodontal health and collaborate with implantologists and restorative dentists for implant-related treatment.
- Monitor treatment outcomes and provide long-term periodontal maintenance.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and periodontal disease management.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow infection-control and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with other dental specialists to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Recognized dental degree (BDS, DDS, DMD, or equivalent).
- Recognized postgraduate specialty qualification in Periodontics.
- Relevant clinical experience based on the position:
- Junior Specialist: Suitable post-qualification experience for an entry-level specialist role.
- Senior Specialist: Substantial post-specialization experience and demonstrated expertise in advanced periodontal treatments.
- Experience in periodontal surgery, regenerative procedures, and management of complex periodontal conditions is preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary dental team.
