Our client on the Gold Coast is looking for multiple Maintenance Civil Engineers for 12months+ Contracts.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented multiple Maintenance Civil Engineers. In this roles, you will manage the delivery of road infrastructure projects, providing technical expertise and support across design, construction, and maintenance phases.
Engineer
Skills and Experience required includes:
- Four-year, Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent assessed by Engineers Australia.
- Administer contracts, ensure compliance, and manage road and bridge maintenance procedures.
- Calculate material quantities, analyse test results, identify non-conformances, and manage risk assessments.
- Provide support and advice on design briefs, negotiating modifications to ensure project outcomes and value for money.
- Ensure adherence to quality management procedures, conduct site inspections, and manage hold points.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, policies, and legislative requirements.
- Demonstrate expertise in engineering practices and maintain high standards of professional conduct.
Senior Engineer
Skills and Experience required includes:
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status.
- Four-year, Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (or equivalent assessed by Engineers Australia).
- Act as Project Manager and Contract Administrator for complex projects, overseeing the full lifecycle from pre-construction and procurement through to delivery and ensure all works are completed within scope, on time, and to budget.
- Provide expert technical advice to senior staff, mentor graduates and junior engineers, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Manage pre-construction activities, including investigations, design tenders, and land requirements
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and local councils.
- Demonstrate expertise in engineering practices and human resource management principles.
Principal Engineer
Skills and Experience required includes:
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status.
- Four-year, Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (or equivalent assessed by Engineers Australia).
- Act as the Representative of the Principal and Contract Administrator. Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including tender calling, assessment, and contract award, ensuring delivery within scope, on time, and to budget.
- Provide high-level engineering advice on design, materials, and construction practices. Mentor graduates and technical staff, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure adherence to quality and environmental standards.
- Manage project resources, monitor progress, and provide accurate reporting on expenditure and oversee the effective use of project management systems and processes.
- Demonstrate expertise in engineering practices and human resource management principles.
Government experience would be highly advantageous.
