Overview: As a Medical Assistant Receptionist at Hometown Urgent Care, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare delivery by assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring the safety, welfare, and comfort of our patients. You will perform both front and back end duties with Receptionist as your main role.
The Receptionist performs all registration duties including checking in patients, insurance verification, answering phones, and other clerical work. Performs occupational medicine exams and related components.
Responsibilities:
· Welcomes patients and visitors into our Care Centers with compassion and provide exceptional customer service.
· Register patients by obtaining demographic, insurance, and payment information.
· Handle payments for services, including applicable co-pays.
· Answer multi-line phone system
· Performs basic medical assisting/occupational medicine duties to ensure proper patient flow.
· Travel to care centers within designated region.
· Daily reconciliation of monies collected
· Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
· Perform occupational medicine testing such as: urine drug screens, & breath alcohol testing
· Cleans and stocks the site with other members of the team.
· Training other team members.
· Fully support all service lines (and future service lines) under the Urgent Care Specialists network including but not limited to: Occupational Health, Clinical Research, Laboratory services, Vibrance and Hometown Primary Care.

Qualifications:
· Basic computer skills, including the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
· Previous experience working in a medical office or receptionist role is preferred
· Ability to function independently without close supervision, and to consistently exercise discretion and the highest level of good clinical and other professional judgment.

Education:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
Requirements
- 1-2 years previous experience working in a physician practice or clinic setting is preferred.
