WeconnectU is looking for a People Partner to join our dynamic, people-obsessed team in Somerset West.
This is an opportunity to work closely with leaders across the company, helping turn business priorities into practical workforce plans and a positive, consistent employee experience.
You’ll bring sound judgement, thoughtful challenge and a genuine interest in helping people and teams do their best work.
Key Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with leaders and advise them on workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, role clarity, performance and employee relations.
- Help departments translate company priorities into people plans, then keep agreed actions moving.
- Support recruitment planning for priority roles and help strengthen candidate and new-hire experience.
- Coach managers through goal-setting, probation, performance conversations and sensitive employee matters.
- Own the accuracy and timely maintenance of HRIS employee records and provide useful workforce insights.
- Use engagement and employee feedback to help leaders identify priorities and take action.
- Coordinate employee-lifecycle administration, including contracts, employee queries, policy administration and onboarding administration, in close partnership with colleagues.
Contribute to succession, retention and continuity planning for critical roles.
Requirements
- At least six years of progressive in-house People or HR experience, including strategic business partnering.
- Confidence advising and constructively challenging leaders, and turning business needs into practical people actions.
- Experience with workforce planning, organisational change, performance and employee relations.
- Hands-on HRIS experience and a strong understanding of accurate people data and reporting.
- A sound working knowledge of South African employment practices and policy administration.
- Clear communication, strong relationship skills and the judgement to handle sensitive matters with care.
- A collaborative, organised approach and the ability to keep priorities moving in a changing business.
