We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist / Consultant Ophthalmologist to join a reputed government healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and perform appropriate ophthalmic procedures to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic examinations and diagnose a wide range of eye conditions.
- Manage ocular diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disorders, corneal conditions, and other ophthalmic disorders.
- Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries relevant to the candidate's subspecialty and clinical expertise.
- Interpret diagnostic investigations, including visual field tests, OCT scans, and retinal imaging.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Provide preventive eye care guidance and educate patients on eye health and disease management.
- Collaborate with other medical specialists to manage patients with complex ocular and systemic conditions.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to patient safety and quality standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and continuous professional development activities.
Requirements
- Recognized medical degree with relevant postgraduate qualifications in Ophthalmology.
- Relevant clinical experience at Senior Specialist or Consultant level.
- Strong expertise in diagnosing and managing a broad range of ophthalmic conditions.
- Surgical experience appropriate to the role and any declared subspecialty.
- Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and patient management skills.
- Candidates with UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or German Board certifications are encouraged to apply.
