The posting

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Technical Architect with strong hands-on experience in database migration projects, specifically involving Oracle databases.

The ideal candidate should have personally participated in or led an end-to-end Oracle database migration, preferably involving migration from Oracle to another database platform, including RaptorDB / self-hosted database environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical architecture and execution of Oracle database migration projects.
  • Design migration strategies, architecture, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Assess existing Oracle database environments, schemas, tables, dependencies, and data structures.
  • Plan and execute migration activities from Oracle to RaptorDB or other target databases.
  • Ensure data integrity, completeness, performance, and security throughout the migration.
  • Coordinate with ServiceNow, database, infrastructure, application, and integration teams.
  • Troubleshoot migration issues and develop solutions for data compatibility and performance challenges.
  • Manage migration testing, validation, cutover, and post-migration support.
  • Prepare technical documentation, migration plans, architecture diagrams, and rollback strategies.

Requirements

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of IT experience, with strong experience as a ServiceNow Technical Architect / Senior Technical Consultant.
  • Strong ServiceNow technical architecture and integration experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Oracle database migration projects.
  • Must have worked on at least one end-to-end Oracle migration project, not just Oracle administration or support.
  • Experience with database-to-database migration, preferably Oracle → RaptorDB / self-hosted database.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, schemas, data structures, dependencies, and migration challenges.
  • Experience with data migration, ETL/data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, middleware, and ServiceNow data/integration architecture.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
