Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled System Quality Assurance Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software releases meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and usability.
Main Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Identify and document test scenarios, edge cases, and potential risks.
- Execute manual tests on various software applications, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, record, and document defects, and track their status through resolution.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for recurring testing tasks.
- Work with the development team to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand software features and functionality.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure alignment on testing requirements and progress.
- Report, track, and prioritize defects in defect-tracking tools.
- Verify fixes and ensure that defects are resolved in a timely manner.
- Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test results and coverage reports.
- Provide detailed feedback and status updates to the team on testing progress and findings.
- Actively contribute to improving QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Stay up to date with the latest testing trends, tools, and technologies to enhance testing efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing.
- Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
