Vanwege significante groei in Nederland, wil WSP de expertise op het gebied van ecologie in Nieuwegein versterken.

Hoe ziet jouw nieuwe rol eruit?

Als Senior Systeemecoloog ben jij de integrale denker die landschappen benadert als samenhangende systemen. Je verbindt abiotiek, biotiek en menselijk gebruik en vertaalt complexe ecologische processen naar heldere inzichten en onderbouwde adviezen. Met jouw landschapsecologische blik help je opdrachtgevers – van overheden tot gebiedscoalities – bij het maken van toekomstbestendige keuzes.

Bij WSP werk je aan projecten waarin ecologie richtinggevend is, zoals inrichtingsplannen, natuurbeheerplannen, LESA’s en integrale gebiedsontwikkelingen. Je werkt aan diverse projecten, zoals: Ruimte voor de Rivier 2.0, Herinrichting rivier de Worm, Oeffelt en Gebiedsvisie Weerterbos en Laarderheide. In deze projecten combineer je landschapsecologische data, GIS‑analyses en gebiedskennis tot duidelijke rapportages. Daarnaast neem je het voortouw in (deel)projecten, begeleid je collega’s en ben je een stevige gesprekspartner voor opdrachtgevers en stakeholders. Je schakelt moeiteloos tussen inhoud, proces en beleid en maakt complexe vraagstukken begrijpelijk.

Je krijgt veel ruimte om je eigen rol vorm te geven, kansen in het werkveld te signaleren en deze te vertalen naar nieuwe projecten die je samen met het team ontwikkelt en realiseert.

Je werkt samen met onder andere bevlogen ecologen, hydrologen en planologen aan projecten die bijdragen aan een toekomstbestendig Nederland. We geloven in integrale oplossingen, kennisdeling en samenwerking over disciplines heen. Je krijgt de ruimte om je expertise verder te verdiepen, om richting te geven aan projecten en om bij te dragen aan een leefomgeving die duurzaam, veerkrachtig en toekomstbestendig is.

Wat zien wij graag in jou?

Je communiceert helder en overtuigend en werkt van nature samen over disciplines heen. Met jouw verbindende aanpak zorg je voor draagvlak, samenwerking en sterke resultaten. Verder breng je mee:

  • Een afgeronde wo‑opleiding in de richting van ecologie, biologie of milieuwetenschappen, met minimaal 7 jaar relevante werkervaring;
  • Ervaring met het opstellen van inrichtingsplannen en LESA’s, en het begeleiden van Integrale gebiedsprocessen;
  • Vaardig in het opstellen van inhoudelijk sterke rapportages, GIS en dataverwerking;
  • Actuele kennis van juridische kaders, natuurbeleid en programma’s in Nederland.
  • Uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse taal, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.
