- Maintain a safe, secure, and controlled environment within assigned areas through active supervision, post checks, and a visible yet discreet presence that reassures guests without detracting from the Forbes Five-Star guest experience.
- Ensure security officers comply with gaming regulations, internal controls, resort policies, security procedures, and post orders.
- Supervise access control at restricted and sensitive areas, including gaming, back-of-house, and other controlled locations, ensuring only authorised persons enter.
- Lead the first security response to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, medical events, and emergencies in gaming and non-gaming areas, and secure the scene pending direction from the Assistant Shift Manager - Asset Protection.
- Coordinate with the Security Operations Center (SOC), Corporate Investigations, and other relevant departments during incident response, evidence preservation, and follow-up, as directed.
- Supervise patrols and monitoring of the gaming floor and non-gaming areas for security threats, prohibited conduct, and indicators affecting gaming integrity, guest safety, and asset protection.
- Escalate significant incidents, risks, and operational issues to the Assistant Shift Manager - Asset Protection without delay, and ensure they are accurately reported.
- Monitor standards of conduct, appearance, grooming, posture, punctuality, and performance of security officers in line with Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star presentation standards, reporting performance and disciplinary matters to the Assistant Shift Manager - Asset Protection.
- Provide on-shift coaching, direction, and corrective guidance to security officers, and support training, certification, and on-the-job development, including the application of Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star service standards.
- Support the Assistant Shift Manager - Asset Protection in shift briefings and handovers, and brief security officers on incidents, risks, staffing issues, and operational priorities.
- Ensure incident reports, shift logs, patrol records, and other required documentation are accurate, complete, and submitted on time for review by the Assistant Shift Manager - Asset Protection.
- Supervise security officers in managing guest incidents, disputes, refusals of entry, removals, and enforcement actions, ensuring actions are lawful, proportionate, consistent with policy, and conducted with the courtesy, discretion, and respect expected under Forbes Five-Star standards.
- Check the readiness of security equipment, communications devices, and other operational resources, and report faults affecting access control, CCTV, and other security systems for resolution.
- Conduct inspections of security posts, patrol routes, and access points across assigned areas, correcting deficiencies or reporting them to the Assistant Shift Manager - Asset Protection.
- Supervise security officers in the execution of emergency response, evacuation, and business continuity procedures, including assembly point control, as directed by the Assistant Shift Manager - Asset Protection.
- Work with gaming, hotel, food and beverage, entertainment, and other operational departments at shift level to support safe, secure, and uninterrupted operations.
- Promote professional, guest-focused service standards among security officers in line with Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star standards, including warm and timely greetings, eye contact, courteous language, and anticipating guest needs, while ensuring security actions remain lawful and consistent with policy.
- Ensure security officers proactively assist guests with directions and enquiries, escorting guests where practical rather than pointing, using guest names where known, and resolving or handing over requests seamlessly to the appropriate department, consistent with Forbes Five-Star service expectations.
- Provide shift-level observations and recommendations to the Assistant Shift Manager - Asset Protection to support continuous improvement across gaming and non-gaming security operations.
About You:

- High integrity, discretion, and accountability.
- Working knowledge of gaming, non-gaming, hospitality, and security operating environments.
- Strong observation, situational awareness, and risk-based decision-making under pressure.
- Effective conflict management, de-escalation, and guest service skills, with an understanding of Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star service standards.
