We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our esteemed civil engineering team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project plans that ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of civil engineering projects. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of project planning methodologies, scheduling software, and resource management. As a Planning Engineer, you will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and devise mitigation strategies. The role demands strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights that contribute to the overall success of infrastructure development initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance and forecast future milestones.
  • Identify potential project risks and delays, proposing corrective actions to mitigate their impact.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders regarding schedule status and project timelines.
  • Assist in resource allocation and budgeting to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual obligations, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer within the civil engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, construction processes, and contract administration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse project stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.
