About the Role: We are looking for a driven Tax Analyst to join our European headquarters in Diemen. Working closely with the International Tax Compliance Manager, you will play a hands-on role across the full spectrum of European tax compliance — supporting monthly VAT cycles, multi-jurisdiction e-invoicing rollouts, direct tax tracking, and cross-border tax projects. This is an exceptional, high-visibility position within a lean, fast-moving team. Unlike traditional siloed corporate roles, you will gain end-to-end exposure across direct and indirect taxation, tax technology, and entity management in over eight European markets, working directly with local tax authorities and top-tier external advisors.
Key Responsibilities: 1.Indirect Tax (VAT) Compliance & Reconciliation: - Support the preparation, data gathering, and review cycles for monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT returns across key European entities (including Germany, France, Spain, UK, Norway, Belgium, and the Netherlands). - Coordinate closely with external filing agents and advisors, reconcile ERP financial ledgers against submitted returns, and proactively flag anomalies or risks prior to statutory deadlines. 2.- Direct Tax & Global Minimum Tax (Pillar Two): - Assist with OECD Pillar Two compliance tasks, including tracking jurisdictional safe harbors, gathering data for GloBE Information Return (GIR) filings, and monitoring QDMTT / top-up tax notifications. - Track corporate income tax installment and filing deadlines across European subsidiaries, and support public country-by-country reporting (PCBCR) data collation under EU directives. 3.E-Invoicing & Tax Technology: - Support the ongoing deployment and scaling of XPENG’s automated e-invoicing middleware across core European markets (France, Germany, Belgium, Norway, etc.). 4.Entity Management & Registrations: - Partner with corporate secretarial service providers to maintain statutory records, handle corporate filings, and support ongoing multi-country indirect tax registrations. - Manage tax master data governance and handle routine information requests from tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
Requirements: 1.Experience: 2 to 4 years of professional tax experience gained within an international corporate in-house tax department (experience within a Big 4 or professional accounting firm is considered a strong plus). 2.Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline. 3.Technical Foundation: A solid conceptual grasp of European VAT fundamentals (reverse charge, cross-border B2B/B2C rules) and a genuine enthusiasm for international corporate taxation. 4.Language Skills: Fluent business English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Mandarin or Dutch is a strong tactical advantage. 5.Competencies: Highly analytical, meticulous with data reconciliations, deadline-driven, and able to communicate proactively and professionally across diverse time zones and cultures.
