This position is located at Lot 9399, Bidor Industrial Estate, 35500 Bidor, Perak. Please check the travel distance before confirming your application for the position.

Requirements

  1. Valid Chargeman BO Certificate issued by the Energy Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in high voltage electrical maintenance and repair (systems above 11kV).
  3. Strong knowledge of high voltage electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  4. Proficient in using high voltage electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
  5. Familiarity with safety regulations and electrical codes of practice in Malaysia (high voltage systems above 11kV).
  6. Willingness to work on a rotating shift basis and be on call for emergencies.
  7. Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and at heights.
  8. Physically fit to handle job demands, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and supervise maintenance, troubleshooting, work order scheduling, and system operations.
  2. Conduct economic analysis and improvements in the electrical/electronic section.
  3. Maintain, install, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, including air-conditioning, fire systems, and building machinery.
  4. Liaise with utility providers and government regulatory bodies on utility services and compliance issues.
  5. Ensure new installations and maintenance comply with safety, legal, and quality standards.
  6. Monitor and track daily power consumption; initiate preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and power failures.
  7. Ensure compliance with EHS requirements for a safe work environment.
  8. Operate and maintain the 11Kv electrical system, and handle inspections and status updates on electric supply conditions.
  9. Plan and execute building maintenance and electrical improvements, staying updated with energy-saving methods.
  10. Report to top management and relevant authorities on electrical issues, ensuring compliance with the Electrical Act and Energy Commission requirements.
