The posting

Yellowstone Local is proud to represent CR Plumbing, Air & Electric, an industry leader in residential plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services.

You know how to turn a service department into a high-performing, revenue-driving operation, and you're ready to lead a team where your decisions, systems, and results make a real impact.

What's in it for You?

  • Compensation: $90,000 to $120,000 annually, including base salary and performance incentives
  • Performance-Based Earnings: Incentives tied to service department performance and results
  • Leadership Opportunity: Take ownership of a growing service department in a company scaling toward $16M to $20M in revenue
  • Career Advancement: Clear potential to grow into broader operations leadership as the company expands
  • Real Influence: Build systems, develop technicians, and shape how the service department operates
  • Growth Environment: Join a fast-growing home services company serving Denton County and North DFW

Why You'll Love It Here

  • You're in Charge of Results: This isn't a position where you simply oversee technicians. You'll drive service revenue, improve conversion rates, and build a department that consistently delivers.
  • Systems Over Guesswork: We believe in documented processes, measurable KPIs, and clear accountability. You'll have the opportunity to turn those principles into daily execution.
  • Build a Stronger Team: Your leadership will directly influence technician development, technical expertise, customer communication, and overall service performance.
  • Your Experience Matters: Bring your plumbing expertise, service management background, and operational leadership skills to a company that values execution.
  • Room to Grow: As CR Plumbing, Air & Electric scales, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater operational responsibilities.
  • Performance Gets Attention: We value leaders who coach effectively, solve problems, improve profitability, and deliver measurable results.

Your New Role

  • Lead the residential service department across plumbing, HVAC, and electrical operations, with a primary focus on plumbing service performance.
  • Own the department's key performance indicators (KPIs), including closing rates, average ticket, gross profit margins, service revenue, and technician productivity.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop service technicians through ride-alongs, performance reviews, hands-on training, and consistent feedback.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) that improve accountability, operational efficiency, and service quality.
  • Improve technician sales performance through structured customer communication, service presentation, and a consistent sales process built around asking questions, connecting with customers, showing value, and earning trust.
  • Strengthen technical knowledge across the service team, emphasizing plumbing diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and awareness of HVAC and electrical systems.
  • Work closely with dispatchers and customer service representatives (CSRs) to improve call booking rates, scheduling effectiveness, and customer conversion.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, reduce callbacks, improve service quality, and drive positive customer reviews.
  • Analyze weekly service department scorecards, identify performance gaps, and execute improvement plans.
  • Manage department performance against revenue goals, profitability targets, and operational benchmarks.
  • Create a culture of accountability where technicians understand expectations, take ownership of their work, and consistently deliver professional service.
  • Help build the operational structure needed to support continued company growth toward $16M to $20M in revenue.

Hiring Expectations: Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.

  • Strong residential plumbing background, with a plumbing license or demonstrated technical expertise in plumbing systems, diagnostics, repairs, and service operations.
  • Proven leadership experience in residential home services, plumbing service management, or skilled trades operations.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and holding service technicians accountable to performance standards and operational goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve service conversion rates, average ticket values, revenue performance, and gross profit margins.
  • Experience implementing and managing standard operating procedures (SOPs), service scorecards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Strong understanding of technician sales coaching, customer communication, service presentation, and customer experience.
  • Ability to conduct technician ride-alongs, evaluate performance, identify skill gaps, and develop effective training plans.
  • Experience supporting growth and operational improvements within a residential service business.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC and electrical service operations to support cross-trade coordination and technician development.
  • Ability to collaborate with dispatch, customer service, and field operations teams to improve booking rates and service efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage revenue targets, monitor department profitability, and make data-driven operational decisions.
  • Commitment to building a high-performing service team through coaching, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
