Direct-Response Copywriter — Coaching / Info

About the Client

Our client helps online fitness coaches build and scale their acquisition — front-end funnel built done-for-you (VSL, landing page, ad creative), then teaches them to run it themselves.

About the Role

We're looking for a Direct-Response Copywriter to own creative output across the business.

This is a high-ownership, founder-adjacent role, not a production seat at the end of a brief. Creative is the bottleneck: good scripts and good concepts are what make our clients' funnels work, and there aren't enough of them being made. You're here to fix that — for our clients and for the founder's own brand.

You'll work directly with the founder, including a daily call to shape direction and output. You research the market, develop the angle, and write it. You'll also help build the systems that make creative output repeatable rather than dependent on one person.

We use AI. But the reason most copy is bad now is that people let it do the thinking. We want someone with real pride in the craft, whose writing sounds like a person.

Responsibilities

Copy & Creative

- Write direct-response video scripts for paid ads — for client accounts and the founder's brand

- Write VSLs, landing pages, thank-you pages and email sequences

- Write short-form and reels scripts for the founder's channels

- Write short-form scripts and long-form scripts for YouTube

- Develop angles, hooks, offers and positioning, not just execute briefs

Research & Strategy

- Research audience, competitors, offers and what's already running

- Turn research into specific, testable angles

- Advise on messaging and positioning for client funnels

Collaboration

- Daily call with the founder to shape direction and output

- Help build templates, swipe libraries and briefing formats the team works from

Qualifications

- Proven direct-response copywriting experience in coaching, info products or online education

- A portfolio of copy you personally wrote that ran as paid ads, with a sense of how it performed

- Strong grasp of offers and positioning — you can explain why an offer works

- Experience writing VSLs and long-form sales assets, not only short ad copy

- Native-level written English, and writing that reads as human

- Comfortable on calls, daily with the founder

- Stable track record — multiple launches at the same company, not two months at each of six offers

Preferred

- Familiarity with funnel tooling — GoHighLevel, landing page builders, basic automations

- Experience in fitness or health coaching

- Experience building creative systems other people then used

What Success Looks Like

- Creative output stops being the bottleneck — volume up, quality holds

- The founder is out of day-to-day copywriting

- Client funnels convert better because the messaging is sharper

- There's an improved documented way concepts get produced

Offer Details

- Location: Remote, with 3–4 team meet ups a year

- Working Hours: Full-time, 9-5 CST

- Employment Type: Full-time, independent contractor

- Compensation: $5,000/month base + performance bonuses
