About the Role:

The HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant working environment across the factory. This role supports a new factory setup, helping to establish health, safety, environmental, and security practices from the start. The key focus is on accident prevention, safe working conditions, and effective site security, particularly during the factory ramp‑up phase.

Role Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure safe working conditions across all production and support areas.
  • Monitor daily operations to identify safety risks and unsafe behaviours.
  • Take corrective actions to prevent accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Support the implementation of HSE procedures, rules, and guidelines.
  • Track and support sustainability‑related targets, including waste reduction, energy use, and environmental compliance.

Safety Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and workplace checks.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with production and support teams to resolve safety issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across the factory.

Training & Awareness

  • Deliver safety training and inductions for employees and contractors.
  • Ensure workers understand safety requirements and comply with procedures.
  • Promote awareness of safe working practices across all areas.

Emergency Response

  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities.
  • Ensure readiness for fire, accidents, and other emergency situations.
  • Act promptly to control and manage emergencies when they occur.

Compliance & Coordination

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local HSE and security regulations.
  • Maintain basic HSE and security records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, HR, and Admin teams to support daily operations while maintaining safety and security standards.
  • Oversee HSE aspects of contractor and vendor activities on site and coordinate with external HSE consultants when required.

What you'll need:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environment, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in HSE roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting factory setup or production ramp‑up is a strong advantage.
  • Experience managing security guards, contractors, or service providers is preferred.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety practices and risk prevention.
  • Strong attention to detail with a hands‑on, shopfloor‑focused approach.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • English proficiency at working level.

What were looking for?

  • A responsible and proactive HSE professional with strong ownership of safety and security matters.
  • Someone who is hands‑on, observant, and comfortable working on the shopfloor.
  • A practical problem‑solver who can identify risks early and take preventive action.
  • A team player who works well across functions while maintaining safety discipline.
  • An individual who demonstrates resilience, accountability, and sound judgement.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
