About the Role
As a Lab Technician, you will support laboratory testing and sample preparation activities to ensure product quality and process compliance. Working closely with the Laboratory and Production teams, you will perform routine testing, prepare samples, record test results, and support troubleshooting during production trials and quality investigations. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their technical skills within a manufacturing and laboratory environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare materials and test specimens according to approved laboratory procedures.
- Conduct routine testing activities and accurately record test results.
- Collect samples from production lines and support quality investigations when required.
- Assist in troubleshooting activities during production trials and early-stage manufacturing.
- Operate laboratory equipment safely and according to established work instructions.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory housekeeping and comply with all safety requirements.
- Report equipment issues, abnormalities, or safety concerns to the Laboratory Supervisor.
- Support the laboratory team with sample preparation, handling, and data collection activities.
What You'll Need
- Diploma or technical qualification in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of laboratory testing and measurement techniques.
- Ability to follow test methods, work instructions, and technical procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Basic English communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work shifts and support overtime when required.
