Job Description

Kia ora!

We are now accepting Expressions of Interest for a 12-month fixed-term, part-time Customer Service Agent opportunity at Gisborne Airport.

Working at Gisborne Airport, you will be part of a dynamic and fast paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for people and travel, and who enjoys the variety that comes with a busy customer facing position. Every customer has their own story and their own journey, so no two days will ever feel the same.

Our dedicated team provides warm and friendly service to ensure customers enjoy a smooth and positive travel experience. There will be times of high pressure and tight deadlines, so being adaptable and resilient is important. Your responsibilities will be varied, including checking in customers, assisting passengers with special requirements, dispatching flights, managing disruptions, and supporting flight arrivals and departures.

Shift Roster:

This part time role sees you working between 36 and 72 hours a fortnight. You will be rostered on shifts that rotate and change, depending on the business needs and flight schedule. We operate every day between the hours of 0500 and 2200. This includes working weekends, nights and on public holidays. You will need to be flexible to work across these different shift days and times.

Role Requirements:

  • Legal right to work in New Zealand (NZ Citizen, NZ Permanent Resident, or Australian Citizen)
  • NZ Restricted or Full Driver Licence, with reliable transport to get to work
  • Frontline customer service experience, ideally in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Confidence working with computers, remembering booking codes and processes, and learning new systems quickly
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional manner

Benefits of Joining Air New Zealand:

  • A competitive salary starting at $33.50 per hour
  • A supportive team environment where you will feel part of the family, with a diverse mix of cultures and plenty of social events
  • Excellent career progression opportunities with full training provided
  • The chance to work in the exciting airport environment, where no two days are the same

If this sounds like the perfect fit for you, please apply online through our careers website with your CV and cover letter. Please note that we are not able to accept email applications.

Applications close 4 November 2026.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
