Job Description

Kia ora!

At Air New Zealand, identity plays a critical role in keeping our people, systems and business secure.

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Identity Specialist to join our Cybersecurity Identity team and help build, operate and evolve the services that manage workforce identity, authentication and access across the organisation.

This is a hands-on engineering role working across enterprise identity platforms, application integrations and identity lifecycle services. You will work with teams across Air New Zealand to deliver secure, reliable and scalable identity solutions that enable our people to access the right systems, at the right time.

We have two positions available: one at Intermediate level and one at Senior level.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop, maintain and support enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) services.
  • Support identity lifecycle processes including provisioning, deprovisioning, access requests, approvals and access governance.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorisation using modern identity standards and best practices.
  • Build and support integrations using APIs, connectors and identity workflows.
  • Work with architects, infrastructure teams and application owners to design and deliver secure identity solutions.
  • Support production services, investigate incidents and resolve root causes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Air New Zealand's enterprise identity capabilities.

What you'll bring

Ideally, you’ll have 4+ years of experience in identity engineering, cybersecurity or enterprise infrastructure, with experience in several of the following:

  • SailPoint Identity Security Cloud or similar Identity and Access Management platforms.
  • Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
  • Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory or other enterprise identity platforms.
  • Identity lifecycle management, provisioning and access governance.
  • CyberArk/Idira PAM
  • REST APIs, application integrations and identity workflows.
  • OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML or related identity standards.
  • AWS EC2, EKS, RDS
  • CI/CD, automation or scripting.
  • Production support, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Previous Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience would be valuable, but strong infrastructure, systems or software engineering experience with an interest in identity and cybersecurity is equally important.

Experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, identity governance or modern authentication technologies would be an advantage.

If you bring most of this experience, along with transferable skills and the drive to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

Ready for take-off?

If you're passionate about identity engineering and enjoy solving complex security challenges, we'd love to hear from you. Join a collaborative team where you'll help shape the future of enterprise identity at one of New Zealand's most iconic organisations while continuing to grow your expertise in cybersecurity and identity.

Applications close Friday 13 November 2026.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
