THE ROLE:

We are in search of an experienced program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills. Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for successful customer program launches. Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems.

THE PERSON:

As a Program Manager, you will partner with cross-functional teams to manage customer accounts and portfolios and understand our customers' platforms/solutions. Identify and document customer requirements and establish engineering schedules. Drive AMD product solution deliverables and alignment with customers’ platforms to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout their product lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Ownership Serve as primary support contact for all sustaining programs. Understand customer business goals; align customer needs with AMD priorities. Advocate for customer satisfaction; manage requirements, critical issues, and escalations. Program Management Own sustaining program delivery: define schedules, milestones, success criteria, resources, and deliverables. Coordinate cross‑functional teams (engineering, firmware, validation, QA, product, field ops, partners/OEMs) to drive decisions and resolve blockers. Identify risks and technology dependencies; create mitigation and contingency plans and proactively escalate when needed. Drive release readiness: validation plans, customer previews, deployment playbooks, and handoffs to field engineering/customer success. Produce concise executive updates, program briefs, and status reports. Process & Continuous Improvement Implement scalable program processes, tooling, and lessons learned to improve delivery speed and quality. Contribute to executive briefs and participate in customer engagements and technical enablement.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Detail-oriented, self-driven with a strong sense of pride and ownership.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Copilot), solid grasp of the AI lifecycle, machine learning models, data processing concepts, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Utilizing AI to build or enhance automation scripts, dashboards, and tools that streamline release management and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Leveraging AI to monitor Jira execution, analyze schedules and dependencies, risks and blockers.
  • Strong technical fluency in Client Systems (hardware, BIOS/Firmware/Microcode, Validation/test process) and understanding of AI workload characteristics.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, risk, requirement tracking, escalations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate in problem-solving and mitigating risks with Engineering, Program/Project Management, Business Units, and Product Management - both internal and external
  • Strong knowledge of productivity and project tools including Jira, Confluence, Power BI.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
  • Formal project management education, PMP / Scrum Master
