ANDREW, an Amphenol Company median: 20 days open

The posting

As principal hardware engineer and technical lead, you will build and lead ANDREW’s hardware engineering team in Suzhou. You will own hardware design and technical decisions for assigned products in our digital distributed antenna system (DAS), small cell and O-RAN radio unit (O-RU) portfolio. You will be the primary technical interface with external engineering partners, setting requirements, reviewing their work and approving designs. This is a hands-on leadership role for an engineer who wants to shape a new team and work closely with global system engineering, FPGA and software colleagues.

Responsibilities:

Own hardware architecture, design reviews and technical decisions for assigned DAS, small cell and O-RU products. Build ANDREW’s hardware engineering capability in Suzhou, including hiring, mentoring and setting engineering practices. Lead knowledge transfer from established global engineering teams, and capture design rationale, best practices and lessons learned. Serve as the primary technical interface with external engineering partners: define requirements, review deliverables and approve designs. Oversee radio frequency (RF), digital, power, printed circuit board (PCB), mechanical and verification activities across new development and sustaining programs. Make sure designs meet requirements for performance, quality, reliability, cost and schedule. Set priorities for component end-of-life (EOL) resolution and hardware cost reduction. Drive design reuse, standardization and continuous improvement of hardware development processes. Protect ANDREW intellectual property and follow export control and data security requirements in all partner engagements. Work with product management, operations and manufacturing on new product introduction. Collaborate with global system engineering, FPGA, software, product lifecycle management (PLM) and operations teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
