Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Development Team Lead to lead a multidisciplinary team of full-stack and AI engineers supporting Atlas Technica’s internal software products. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for team development, software architecture, engineering standards, technical delivery, and the responsible adoption of AI across both our products and software development practices.

The Software Development Team Lead will set technical direction, guide architecture and system design, establish engineering standards, and help the team navigate complex technical decisions. This individual will work closely with Product, Project Management, Business Analysis, and other stakeholders to translate business priorities into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.

The successful candidate will combine strong software engineering and architecture expertise with people leadership, sound technical judgment, and practical experience delivering production AI solutions. This leader should be equally comfortable coaching engineers, reviewing architecture, solving complex technical problems, and establishing responsible AI practices that improve both product capabilities and engineering effectiveness.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of full-stack and AI engineers, establishing clear expectations and fostering ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
  • Partner closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements and priorities into effective technical delivery
  • Set technical direction and provide architectural leadership across software products, including system design, data architecture, integrations, scalability, and engineering governance
  • Lead architecture and technical-design reviews, evaluate engineering proposals, guide technical trade-offs, and remove complex technical barriers for the development team
  • Establish and continuously improve architecture standards, development practices, coding standards, technical guidelines, reference architectures, and reusable engineering patterns
  • Mentor engineers on software architecture, technical decision-making, code quality, system design, security, maintainability, and engineering best practices
  • Drive the responsible adoption of AI across the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, review, documentation, and CI/CD, while evaluating impact on productivity and quality
  • Provide technical leadership for production AI solutions, including selection of appropriate models, providers, platforms, infrastructure, and integration approaches based on business, security, performance, latency, and cost requirements
  • Define AI evaluation approaches, quality metrics, monitoring, observability, feedback loops, and safeguards that support reliable and measurable production performance
  • Establish appropriate security, privacy, governance, and human-review controls for AI systems, including mitigation of risks such as hallucinations, prompt injection, data leakage, model misuse, and unpredictable behavior
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, technical standards, reusable AI patterns, and engineering guidance that support consistent delivery and future team growth
  • Collaborate across technical and business teams to align priorities, data ownership, architectural standards, dependencies, and outcomes while continuously improving development processes and technology capabilities

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant hands-on development experience with modern production applications
  • 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience using technologies such as ASP.NET/C# with React, Angular, or comparable modern frontend frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience operating at a Software Architect, Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, or comparable technical-leadership level
  • 2+ years of experience leading a software engineering team or serving in a comparable people and technical leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience delivering production AI solutions beyond proof-of-concept or prototype environments
  • Experience designing AI agents, tool-calling workflows, multi-step orchestration, or other production agentic systems
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major LLM or AI platform such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, or Azure OpenAI
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, asynchronous processing, event-driven architecture, APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, and enterprise integration patterns
  • Strong backend engineering and architecture experience with the ability to integrate AI capabilities into complex existing systems
  • Demonstrated ability to establish technical standards, evaluate architecture decisions, and guide engineers through complex technical trade-offs
  • Strong people-leadership and coaching skills with the ability to create alignment, provide actionable feedback, develop engineers, and build a collaborative and high-performing team
  • Experience working directly with senior technical stakeholders and communicating complex technical concepts, risks, and recommendations clearly
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience designing and delivering systems involving sensitive, confidential, or regulated data
  • Experience implementing human-in-the-loop AI workflows and determining when automation or autonomous behavior is appropriate
  • Experience defining technical or architecture standards across multiple engineering teams or products
  • Strong knowledge of security, privacy, identity, access control, and data-governance considerations within AI-enabled systems
  • Experience architecting enterprise AI solutions involving copilots, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), document intelligence, conversational AI, workflow automation, or multi-agent systems
  • Experience designing AI agents involving tool calling, memory, orchestration, evaluation, and human-review controls
  • Microsoft Azure, AI, software-development, Anthropic, or other relevant technical certifications
  • Experience measuring the impact of AI-assisted software-development practices on engineering productivity, quality, or delivery performance

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
