Report line: General Manager

Our esteemed client, an ultra-luxury 5* resort set amidst the pristine beauty of the Maldives. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Room Division Manager to lead all room operations, elevate the guest experience, and ensure the highest standards of operational excellence across the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services departments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Room Division Manager in a luxury 5-star hotel or resort, or three years as a Front Office Manager in an ultra-luxury brand.
  • Solid operational experience in a luxury resort environment with LQA standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, and overall Rooms Division operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multiple departments and large operational teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, labor cost management, forecasting, and departmental performance analysis.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
  • Previous experience in a remote location or resort destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and related departments.
  • Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction by delivering exceptional and personalized guest experiences throughout the entire guest journey.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational standards, policies, and procedures in line with luxury hospitality expectations.
  • Drive departmental performance by monitoring service quality, guest feedback, operational efficiency, and financial results.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads to ensure seamless interdepartmental communication and service delivery.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop department managers and team members, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, productivity, and expenses while maintaining service excellence.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, succession planning, and employee engagement within the Rooms Division.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and brand operating standards.
  • Analyze guest satisfaction scores, online reviews, and operational reports to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Handle VIP arrivals, guest concerns, and service recovery with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support the General Manager in achieving operational objectives, revenue goals, and overall business performance.
