Job description

About the team

If you enjoy working with data, solving operational problems, and seeing how accurate information supports manufacturing and supply chain performance, this role puts you at the center of those activities. As our Bill of Materials Coordinator (BOM), you’ll help make sure the product and manufacturing data our production plants rely on are accurate, stable, and up-to-date. You’ll work across manufacturing, planning, quality, plant chemistry, and product line management, giving you a broad view of how product data connects different parts of the business. You’ll also play an important part in New Product Introduction (NPI) and compliance projects, helping ensure BOMs and related master data are ready when products or requirements change.

Key tasks

  • Manage and maintain accurate BOM production master data and related system settings within ERP and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to support reliable manufacturing and planning.
  • Coordinate with Plant Chemists, Manufacturing, Scheduling, Planning, and Product Line Management teams to implement new and changed plant formulations and associated master data requirements.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and compliance projects by coordinating BOM readiness, BOM updates, and product phase-in and phase-out activities.
  • Communicate BOM and master data changes effectively to relevant stakeholders across manufacturing, planning, quality, product line management, purchasing, and other supply chain functions.
  • Work closely with HSSE and quality teams to maintain quality- and compliance-related master data, including ADR information and dangerous goods settings within the ERP system.
  • Generate, review, and action master data validation reports, working with planning and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular data reviews and audits to ensure BOM accuracy, consistency, and master data integrity across relevant systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated material- and master-data-related issues throughout the planning and manufacturing execution process.
  • Identify opportunities to improve BOM management, master data quality, and related processes, contributing to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all activities comply with the applicable Environmental Management System (EMS), Quality Management System (QMS), company policies, governance standards, and relevant compliance requirements.

Experience required

  • At least 5 years of relevant operational experience within supply chain, manufacturing, master data management, or a related environment.
  • Practical experience working with bills of materials, manufacturing master data, or product structures in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Experience using ERP and/or product lifecycle management systems to create, maintain, and validate product and manufacturing data.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between master data, manufacturing operations, supply chain planning, and product lifecycle activities.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • High level of computer literacy, including advanced Excel skills and experience working with business reporting and data analysis tools.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders from areas such as manufacturing, planning, quality, product management, engineering, or supply chain.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize complex information and translate it into practical actions and solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working effectively within diverse, cross-functional teams across different geographies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work within agreed timelines.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
