ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a product engineering team at a Series A consumer fintech company building tools for personal finance. You will develop consumer-facing features that help people manage cash flow, access paychecks, and build credit, contributing to products that support their financial wellbeing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Build product features end to end, from domain models and business logic to API integrations.

- Deliver and iterate on product work through data-informed, incremental releases.

- Use SQL and analytics tools to evaluate product and system performance.

- Debug complex state machines in event-driven systems that use pub/sub.

- Ship through CI/CD, own implementations through production, and help respond to incidents.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- At least 3 years of experience building backend features end to end for production systems, ideally in an early-stage startup or high-growth environment.

- Experience developing consumer-facing products and working with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar.

- Proficiency designing and consuming RESTful APIs, including authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.

- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, data modeling, query optimization, SQL, and analytics tools.

- Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and code review.

- Go experience deployed on GCP is valuable, as is experience in a high-bar engineering environment.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
