Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Greas​er / Motorman to join a Cable Lay Vessel (CLV). The successful candidate will assist with the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of engine room machinery and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations. Strong offshore experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the engineering team with the operation and maintenance of engine room machinery.
  • Lubricate, inspect, and maintain engines, pumps, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Monitor machinery performance and report faults or irregularities.
  • Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the engine room.
  • Follow all onboard safety procedures and offshore operational requirements.
  • Support the engineering team in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

Requirements

  • Valid III/5 Certificate of Competency (CoC).
  • Valid HUET-CAEBS certification.
  • Valid GWO Sea Survival (SS) certification.
  • Valid GWO Working at Heights (WAH) certification.
  • Strong offshore experience is essential.
  • Previous experience on offshore vessels, preferably CLVs, will be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of engine room safety, machinery maintenance, and offshore procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a demanding offshore environment.
