The posting

Our client is a modern payments infrastructure provider, backed by a global fintech group, offering acquiring and processing capabilities through modular APIs, sophisticated onboarding and KYB, network tokenization, risk management, and reporting solutions. We are hiring a Head of Product to own their product vision, roadmap, and execution across their payments portfolio, with responsibility for commercial performance, platform development, and the full product lifecycle.

The role combines payments expertise with hands-on leadership, balancing near-term delivery with investments in platform modernization and future growth. The Head of Product leads product managers, partners closely with Engineering, and translates customer needs and market opportunities into measurable business results.

What You Will Do

  • Define the multi-year product vision and roadmap, aligning investment priorities with customer needs and business goals.
  • Own the product lifecycle from research and discovery through development, launch, adoption, and ongoing improvement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop product managers. Establish clear ownership, delivery expectations, and measures of success.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to scale a transactional payments platform, improve reliability, and build reusable capabilities supporting existing and future verticals.
  • Direct delivery across multiple engineering squads and complex cross-functional programs, managing dependencies and resolving competing priorities.
  • Drive product monetization in partnership with Finance, pricing, and commercialization teams. Apply a detailed understanding of interchange, network fees, funding-source costs, and program economics to pricing and investment decisions.
  • Use customer research, product analytics, and financial models to prioritize opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs, and present business cases to executive leadership.
  • Improve payment performance and processing economics while reducing operational complexity and manual work.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Operations to ensure products support reconciliation, settlement, reporting, and other operational requirements.
  • Work closely with Legal, Risk, and Compliance to incorporate regulatory requirements, card network rules, and payment security standards into product development.
  • Build relationships with card networks, bank partners, fintechs, and key customers. Identify opportunities to develop new payment programs and expand existing capabilities.
  • Evaluate developments in embedded finance, stablecoins, tokenization, and agentic payments. Translate relevant opportunities into product proposals supported by customer demand and financial analysis.
  • Partner with Revenue and Marketing on product positioning, packaging, and launch readiness. Equip customer-facing teams with the knowledge and materials needed to sell and support the portfolio.
  • Establish success measures across adoption, revenue, profitability, and payment performance. Use results and customer feedback to guide ongoing investment.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years managing product managers.
  • Substantial experience in payments product management, with expertise in acquiring business models.
  • Deep knowledge of the card payments lifecycle, including provisioning, authorization, clearing, settlement, and disputes.
  • Strong understanding of payments economics, including interchange, network fees, processing costs, and funding arrangements.
  • Experience leading product managers and developing teams with clear accountability for delivery and commercial outcomes.
  • A track record of taking complex products from strategy through launch and scaled adoption in an API-first environment.
  • Technical fluency and experience partnering with Engineering on API-driven products, transactional platforms, and platform modernization.
  • Experience building shared platform capabilities supporting multiple customer segments or verticals.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience developing business cases, evaluating pricing, and presenting investment recommendations to executives.
  • Experience aligning technical and business stakeholders and managing relationships with external partners and customers.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex product decisions to different audiences.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
