  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality control and compelling storytelling across written, visual and multimedia content.
  • Work closely with global editorial desks to deliver international stories that resonate with US readers.
  • Mentor, coach and develop colleagues, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative newsroom culture.

About You

You are an experienced newsroom leader with a passion for breaking news, digital journalism and the Daily Mail's distinctive editorial voice. You understand what drives audience engagement and thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.

You will bring:

  • A minimum of five years of newsroom management experience.
  • A proven track record in news gathering, editing and leading teams in a fast-paced digital newsroom.
  • Exceptional news judgment and the ability to identify stories with strong audience appeal.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills, with a commitment to accuracy and compelling storytelling under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with multiplatform news gathering tools, editorial systems and digital publishing resources.
  • Strong analytical skills and an understanding of audience metrics and content optimization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior editorial leadership and global teams.

About What We Offer

  • A fast-paced, collaborative newsroom with a global reach.
  • A competitive salary of $95,000-$110,000 per year.
  • Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision and life insurance, plus a 401(k).
  • Generous paid time off.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
