Zuyderland Medisch Centrum is een van de Samenwerkende Topklinische Ziekenhuizen (STZ). STZ-ziekenhuizen onderscheiden zich door steeds de voorhoedepositie te kiezen met patiënt gericht wetenschappelijk onderzoek, topklinische zorg en opleiding. Zij richten zich hierbij op de volgende kernthema's: innovatie, medisch leiderschap en transitie van de zorg. Zuyderland MC is een van de grotere perifere ziekenhuizen in Nederland met een uniek profiel. Welkom in het team Welkom bij Medische Beeldvorming van Zuyderland (Heerlen en Sittard-Geleen): een dynamische omgeving waar hoogwaardige patiëntenzorg, technologische innovatie en professionele ontwikkeling samenkomen. Dagelijks werken bevlogen professionals aan het zichtbaar maken van wat voor patiënten het verschil maakt: een snelle diagnose, de juiste behandeling en optimale zorg. Met ruim 160 fte aan medewerkers, 22 radiologen, 5 nucleair geneeskundigen en 4 PA's behoort Medische Beeldvorming tot de grootste en meest veelzijdige afdelingen van Zuyderland. Binnen het centrum zijn alle belangrijke modaliteiten verenigd, waaronder 4 MRI's, 5 CT's, 2 PET-CT's, state of the art mammografie- en echoapparatuur, interventieradiologie, nucleaire geneeskunde en conventionele radiologie. Daarmee vormt de afdeling een onmisbare schakel binnen vrijwel iedere zorgketen van het ziekenhuis, van spoedzorg en oncologie tot chronische en complexe topklinische zorg. De afdeling Medische Beeldvorming wordt ondersteund door een administratie Radiologie en Nucleaire geneeskunde en een secretariaat.
