Job Description
As a Dispatch and Labelling Line Supervisor you will have a varied and responsible role.
Under the guidance of the Dispatch Team Leader, you will ensure that labelling and packaging activities are carried out correctly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
You will coordinate and guide the employees working on the production line, ensuring that every product meets the applicable quality and food safety requirements, as well as customer specifications.
You will gradually grow into your role. You will start by being responsible for one production line. As you gain experience, the aim is for you to be able to operate and supervise all lines.
The Line Supervisor has an operational, monitoring, and coordinating role on the shop floor. You will ensure that the daily production schedule is completed within the allocated time while maintaining the required quality standards.
A selection of your responsibilities:
- Allocate tasks, provide clear work instructions, and guide employees working in filling and labelling. You will also help train new colleagues.
- Set up, operate, and change over packaging and labelling machines. Troubleshoot minor technical issues independently and report defects to the technical department in a timely manner.
- Check labels: use the ERP system to assign the correct production order to the right line and ensure that every product receives the correct label.
- Perform and record quality checks, including metal detection, residual oxygen measurements, visual packaging inspections, seal integrity checks, and final product weight checks.
- Ensure that each customer's packaging, labelling, and palletising instructions are followed correctly. Check stacking patterns, quantities, and pallet labels.
- Monitor compliance with HACCP, IFS Food, Food Defense, and hygiene requirements, and report any deviations to the Quality Department or your supervisor.
Who are you?
- You have a good command of both Dutch and English, including speaking, understanding, and reading. French is an advantage!
- You have experience working as an operator in another company, preferably in the food industry.
- You are familiar with packaging and labelling machines, including operating, setting up, and changing them over.
- You are able to operate a manual pallet truck.
- You are stress-resistant and comfortable working at a fast pace on machinery. Things can get quite busy at Kjure-Marblo!
- You have strong administrative skills and are confident using computers.
- As working in the food industry involves strict quality, hygiene, and safety requirements, gel nails, excessive make-up, eyelash extensions, visible piercings, etc., are not permitted. We prefer a natural look. :-)
- You are comfortable working in a cold environment, with temperatures around 4°C.
