Onze klant beschermt de mensen die anderen beschermen. Al ruim honderd jaar ontwikkelt en produceert deze onderneming hoogtechnologisch textiel voor defensie en veiligheid kogelwerende bescherming, CBRN, gevechtskledij en meer, ingezet door NAVO, Europese ministeries van Defensie en veiligheidsdiensten in meer dan 20 landen.

Sinds begin 2026 slaat onze klant een nieuw hoofdstuk open: een professionele investeerder, een langetermijn groeimandaat en een management dat mee investeert. Van ambitie naar schaal. En daarvoor zoeken we jou.

Jij bent de commerciële motor achter de internationale tenders in defensie en law enforcement. Je wint grote overheidsopdrachten, bouwt strategische relaties op met ministeries en aankoopdirecties, en beheert key accounts in de thuismarkten (BE, NL, DK, FR) en groeimarkten (DE, SE, PL, VK, EMEA).

Geen catalogusverkoop, maar spel op het hoogste niveau: vertrouwen, technisch inzicht en jarenlange relaties. Je speelt daarbij een sterke troef uit: eigen R&D, eigen labo en eigen ballistische schietbaan.

Concreet:

  • Je stelt samen met de Tender Manager complexe internationale offertes en contracten op en onderhandelt ze uit, met oog voor compliance (NAVO, EU, export).
  • Je bouwt strategische key accounts uit in de thuismarkten (BE, NL, DK, FR) en de groeimarkten (DE, SE, PL, VK, breder EMEA).
  • Je sluit grote, langlopende raamcontracten af en volgt het volledige traject op — van business development en lobbywerk tot bestelling en nazorg.
  • Je analyseert geopolitieke en marktontwikkelingen en spot vroeg nieuwe tenderkansen.
  • Je vertegenwoordigt de onderneming op internationale beurzen en high-level events (Eurosatory, DSEI, Milipol).
  • Minimaal 5 jaar internationale ervaring in sales, business development of accountmanagement binnen defensie, overheidsopdrachten of law enforcement, op senior niveau.
  • Bewezen in het analyseren, coördineren en winnen van complexe internationale aanbestedingen.
  • Grondige kennis van internationale regelgeving rond defensietenders (NAVO, EU, export) is een sterke troef.
  • Diplomatiek, discreet en strategisch, met een uitstekend gevoel voor confidentialiteit en een breed internationaal netwerk.
  • Vloeiend Engels en Frans; Nederlands en/of Duits is een plus.
  • Bereid om internationaal te reizen (ca. 30% van de tijd).
  • Hands-on en ondernemend — geen zuiver corporate profiel, wél iemand die structuur brengt.
