Als junior privacyfunctionris ga je meewerken en ben je ondersteunend aan de collega privacyfunctionarissen om het privacybewustzijn binnen de organisaties van de landelijke eenheden (Eenheid Landelijke Expertise en Operaties en Eenheid Landelijke Opsporing en Interventies) nog verder vergroten. Je adviseert jouw collega's binnen de landelijke eenheden over een breed scala aan privacyvraagstukken op juridisch gebied. Samen met je collega's signaleer je risico's, knelpunten en mogelijkheden op het gebied van de verwerking van persoons- en politiegegevens en geef je concrete adviezen. Ook beantwoord je vragen over de te nemen maatregelen om deze risico's te beheersen. Constant weeg je de openheid en de vertrouwelijkheid van gegevens af. Aan de ene kant heb je te maken met partijen die op zoek zijn naar gegevens en antwoorden. Aan de andere kant is er de privacywetgeving en de Wet politiegegevens (Wpg) waar we ons aan hebben te houden. Dit spanningsveld maakt jouw functie zeer uitdagend. Naast de Wpg, behandel je ook vragen op het gebied van de Algemene verordening gegevensbescherming (AVG) en de Wet justitiële en strafvorderlijke gegevens (Wjsg) en ondersteun je jouw collega's bij de behandeling van Woo verzoeken. Goede onderlinge samenwerking is hierbij cruciaal. Je werkt daarom ook samen met andere ketenpartners om maximaal slagkrachtig te zijn en je hebt regelmatig contact met privacyfunctionarissen en - adviseurs in de overige eenheden.
