Position summary:
You are responsible for leading the plant mechanical team (Shift Mechanical Engineers, Toolroom, Utility team, Workshop Team, Process Engineers) in all the maintenance and process activities in the plant to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of high speed can making Lines and ancillaries. You will be the key person driving operational excellence programs and size changes in the plant, and also be responsible for all the mechanical safety, lean events, capital projects, energy saving, and EIP.
What are we looking for?
- 7+ years relevant experience in maintenance in high-speed manufacturing with sound maintenance management practices.
- Experience in mechanical power presses, hydraulic equipment maintenance, printing press, handling LPG, maintenance of gas-fired ovens, boilers etc.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD - Mechanical.
- Experienced in TPM implementation in process industry. Good understanding of other modern lean manufacture technique - SMED, Kaizen 5S, Structured Problem Solving, Six Sigma.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload based upon the plant requirements and KPI’s. Good planning skills, coordination skill and follow-up skill
- Comfortable communication in written and spoken English
