The posting

Als R&D Process Engineer werk je aan de ontwikkeling en optimalisatie van materialen, formules en productieprocessen, met een sterke focus op duurzaamheid. Je onderzoekt alternatieve grondstoffen en vertaalt nieuwe oplossingen naar haalbare toepassingen binnen de productie. Daarbij hou je rekening met performantie, ecologische impact én kostprijs.

Jouw rol:

  • initiëren en opvolgen van R&D-projecten met focus op duurzaamheid, CO₂-reductie, recycleerbaarheid en alternatieve grondstoffen
  • ontwikkelen en optimaliseren van materialen en formules met aandacht voor duurzaamheid en alternatieve grondstoffen
  • analyseren van procesvariaties en uitwerken van verbeteringen binnen de productieprocessen
  • onderzoeken en oplossen van technische knelpunten met aandacht voor duurzaamheid en efficiëntie
  • screenen en testen van alternatieve grondstoffen op performantie en milieu-impact
  • opzetten en opvolgen van ingangscontroles in samenwerking met leveranciers en het interne kwaliteitsteam
  • meedenken over voorraadplanning, lifecycle-analyse, hergebruik van materialen en recycleerbaarheid
  • berekenen en optimaliseren van de kostprijs en het verbruik van duurzame grondstoffen
  • afwegen van de economische haalbaarheid tegenover de ecologische meerwaarde van nieuwe oplossingen
  • samenwerken met productie, R&D, aankoop en andere interne en externe partners
  • helder communiceren over duurzaamheidsprojecten naar klanten, leveranciers en collega's
  • meewerken aan bredere duurzaamheidsinitiatieven binnen de organisatie
  • je beschikt over een masteropleiding chemie of een gelijkaardige opleiding
  • je hebt enkele jaren ervaring binnen een industriële omgeving, bij voorkeur binnen chemie of coatings
  • je bent analytisch sterk en hebt interesse in product- en procesontwikkeling
  • je denkt vernieuwend en zoekt naar technisch haalbare en duurzame oplossingen
  • je bent projectmatig sterk en kan verschillende projecten gestructureerd opvolgen
  • je neemt initiatief en werkt graag naar concrete resultaten toe binnen een productieomgeving
  • je communiceert helder en werkt vlot samen met verschillende interne en externe partijen
  • naast het Nederlands heb je een goede kennis van het Engels; kennis van Frans en/of Duits is een pluspunt
  • je bent bereid om occasioneel te reizen, ongeveer 15 tot 20%
