Vacature: Vleermuis- en gierzwaluw veldonderzoeker / Ecologisch veldonderzoeker (Parttime) Ga jij graag aan de slag in de buitenlucht? Heb je een voorliefde voor de natuur en alles wat leeft? Vind je het niet erg om vroeg in de ochtend of laat in de avond aan het werk te zijn? Dan is ecologisch veldonderzoek bij Gaia Ecologie de perfecte (bij)baan voor jou! Ons veldwerkseizoen loopt van mei tot en met september. Tijdens deze maanden ga jij op pad om vleermuis- en gierzwaluwpopulaties in kaart te brengen en te rapporteren. Het gierzwaluwonderzoek vindt plaats vlak voor zonsondergang. De vleermuizen zijn vooral 's nachts actief en deze onderzoeken zullen zowel laat in de avond als de vroege ochtend plaatsvinden. Wij zijn dan ook op zoek naar eco-enthousiastelingen die op deze tijden aan de slag kunnen gaan, en het niet erg vinden om in de nachtelijke uren op pad te gaan! Door deze tijden valt het werk wel goed te combineren met een studie of ander werk dat overdag plaatsvindt. De precieze opzet van zo'n veldonderzoek verschilt per periode en soort waarnaar je onderzoek doet, maar kan er als volgt uit zien: Wij delen je op een locatie bij jou in de buurt in en jij rijdt hier samen met je collega's naartoe. Hier noteer je enkele uren lang al je observaties met betrekking tot gierzwaluwen en/of vleermuizen in onze zelfontwikkelde Gaia Fieldworker app. Hierna sluit je je dienst af met een kort dagverslag, en kom je weer samen met je collega om terug naar huis te rijden. Gaia Ecologie is een ecologisch onderzoeks- en adviesbureau dat bestaat uit een jonge groep ecologen en developers die dieren en planten hun eigen plekje gunt tussen al het bouwgeweld in ons kikkerlandje. Wij zijn ontstaan omdat we zagen dat er veel vraag is naar ecologisch onderzoek in de zomer; een moeilijk seizoen om over een grote hoeveelheid mensen te beschikken.
