Hillcrest Health & Rehab provides skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, and long-term care in a supportive environment focused on helping residents and guests feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. As a night-shift nurse, you will help bring that mission to life by providing strong clinical care, steady leadership, and peace of mind throughout the night. What You’ll Do As a Night Nurse, you will provide hands-on clinical care while helping ensure residents and guests are safe, comfortable, and supported overnight. You will:
Provide quality nursing care and support for residents and guests. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and individualized care plans. Monitor residents and guests closely for changes in condition throughout the night. Use strong clinical judgment to recognize concerns and determine appropriate next steps. Respond to changes in condition, urgent needs, and overnight clinical concerns. Support residents and guests with dignity, comfort, and respect. Partner with Nurse Techs, Medication Aides, and other team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care. Provide clinical guidance and support to team members throughout the shift. Complete required clinical documentation accurately and on time. Communicate effectively with residents, guests, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. Ensure important updates are communicated clearly during shift handoff. Follow established infection-control, medication-management, safety, and regulatory standards. Help maintain a calm, safe, and supportive overnight environment. Jump in and help wherever needed to keep care running smoothly.

Education & Credentials
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Current Nebraska RN or LPN license required. Previous experience in skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, memory care, assisted living, hospital, or a similar setting preferred. Basic Life Support/CPR certification required or must be obtained within Hillcrest’s established timeframe.

Physical & Other Requirements
Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to safely assist residents and guests with care needs, transfers, and mobility as needed. Must be able to perform repetitive sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift. Must be flexible and calm when supporting residents, guests, families, and team members during stressful situations. Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology. Must follow established nursing, infection-control, medication, documentation, and safety procedures. Must be available to work an every-other-weekend rotation. Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Other duties as assigned.
