Hillcrest Millard is a post-acute rehabilitation and long-term care community focused on helping guests and residents recover, regain independence, and receive high-quality care in a welcoming environment. As a night-shift nurse, you will help bring that mission to life by providing excellent clinical care, steady leadership, and dependable support throughout the night. What You’ll Do As a Night Nurse, you will be an important clinical resource for guests, residents, and team members during the overnight hours. You will:
Provide high-quality nursing care and support for guests and residents. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and individualized care plans. Monitor guests and residents closely for changes in condition. Use strong clinical judgment to recognize concerns and determine appropriate next steps. Respond to urgent needs and changing clinical situations throughout the night. Support guests and residents with dignity, comfort, privacy, and respect. Partner with Nurse Techs, Medication Aides, and other team members to ensure consistent, quality care. Provide clinical direction, guidance, and support to care team members during the shift. Complete required documentation accurately and on time. Communicate effectively with guests, residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. Ensure important information is clearly communicated during shift handoff. Follow established medication-management, infection-control, safety, and regulatory standards. Help maintain a calm, safe, and supportive overnight environment. Jump in and help wherever needed to keep care moving smoothly.

The right candidate will be comfortable working independently while also serving as a dependable clinical resource for the rest of the overnight team. Ideal candidates will have:

Education & Credentials
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Current Nebraska RN or LPN license required. Previous experience in skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, memory care, assisted living, hospital, or a similar setting preferred. Basic Life Support/CPR certification required or must be obtained within Hillcrest’s established timeframe.

Physical & Other Requirements
Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to safely assist guests and residents with care needs, transfers, and mobility as needed. Must be able to perform repetitive sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift. Must be flexible and calm when responding to stressful or rapidly changing situations. Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology. Must follow established nursing, medication, infection-control, documentation, and safety procedures. Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Other duties as assigned.
