As a Nurse Tech / Medication Aide, you will help bring that mission to life by providing hands-on care, supporting daily routines, and helping residents and guests feel safe, respected, and cared for. What You’ll Do As a Nurse Tech / Medication Aide, you will work closely with nurses and other care team members to provide personalized support throughout the day. You will:
Provide quality personal care and daily living support for residents and guests. Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, and other personal-care needs. Support residents and guests with meals, dining, hydration, and daily routines. Administer medications according to established guidelines and within your certification. Observe residents and guests for changes in condition, behavior, or needs. Communicate concerns or changes promptly to the nurse or appropriate team member. Follow individualized care plans and resident or guest preferences. Complete required documentation accurately and on time. Help residents and guests maintain as much independence as possible. Support comfort, dignity, privacy, and safety throughout the shift. Follow established infection-control, medication, and safety procedures. Build positive relationships with residents, guests, families, and fellow team members. Jump in and help wherever needed to keep care running smoothly.

Education & Credentials
Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant course required. Active Nebraska CNA certification required. Completion of the Medication Aide course required. Active Nebraska Medication Aide certification required for Medication Aide responsibilities. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, assisted living, or a similar setting preferred.

Physical & Other Requirements
Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to safely assist residents and guests with activities of daily living, transfers, mobility, and personal care. Must be able to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift. Must be flexible and calm when supporting residents, guests, families, and team members. Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology. Must follow established medication, infection-control, safety, and care procedures. Must be available to work an every-other-weekend rotation. Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Other duties as assigned.
