Hillcrest Health & Rehab provides skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, and long-term care in a supportive environment focused on helping residents and guests recover, maintain independence, and feel comfortable and cared for. As a Nurse Tech / Medication Aide, you will help bring that mission to life by providing hands-on care, supporting daily routines, and helping residents and guests feel safe, respected, and comfortable throughout the evening. What You’ll Do As an Evening Nurse Tech / Medication Aide, you will work closely with nurses and other care team members to provide personalized care and medication support during one of the busiest parts of the day. You will:
Provide quality personal care and daily living support for residents and guests. Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, and other personal-care needs. Administer medications according to established guidelines and within your Medication Aide certification. Support residents and guests with meals, dining, hydration, and evening routines. Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility as needed. Respond promptly to call lights and requests for assistance. Help residents and guests feel safe, comfortable, respected, and cared for. Observe for changes in condition, behavior, or needs and communicate concerns promptly to the nurse. Follow individualized care plans and resident or guest preferences. Complete required documentation accurately and on time. Support bedtime routines and help residents and guests settle in comfortably for the night. Follow established medication, infection-control, safety, and care procedures. Build positive relationships with residents, guests, families, and fellow team members. Jump in and help wherever needed to keep the evening running smoothly.

Education & Credentials
Active Nebraska CNA certification required. Active Nebraska Medication Aide certification required. Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant course required. Completion of an approved Medication Aide course required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience providing personal care in skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, assisted living, or a similar setting preferred.

Physical & Other Requirements
Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to safely assist residents and guests with activities of daily living, transfers, mobility, and personal care. Must be able to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift. Must be flexible and calm when responding to resident, guest, family, or team needs. Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment. Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology. Must follow established medication-administration, infection-control, safety, and resident-care procedures. Must be available to work an every-other-weekend rotation. Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Other duties as assigned.
