The posting

We are looking for a detail-oriented Print Estimator with experience in commercial signage, large-format printing, or related print production. The ideal candidate can review job requirements, calculate material and production costs, prepare accurate quotations, and help ensure profitable pricing.

Experience with print estimating or shop management software is preferred. Candidates who have used similar systems are encouraged to apply; PrintSmith Vision experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotations for commercial signs, banners, vinyl graphics, displays, and other large-format print jobs.
  • Review job specifications, dimensions, materials, quantities, finishing, and turnaround requirements.
  • Calculate material usage, production costs, labour, finishing, and other job-related expenses.
  • Prepare accurate estimates and quotations while maintaining pricing consistency and profitability.
  • Use print estimating, pricing, or job management software to prepare quotes and manage job details.
  • Coordinate with sales, customer service, and production teams to clarify requirements and confirm job feasibility.
  • Revise quotations, handle repeat orders, and suggest cost-effective production alternatives.
  • Maintain accurate job specifications, pricing details, and estimate records.

Qualifications

  • Experience in print estimating, signage estimating, large-format printing, or related print production and costing.
  • Practical knowledge of commercial signs, banners, vinyl graphics, display materials, and finishing processes.
  • Experience using print estimating, pricing, or shop management software is preferred. Examples include shopVOX, CoreBridge, Clarity, Printer's Plan, PrintPoint, Printlogic, DocketManager, PrintSmith Vision, or similar tools.
  • Basic to good Excel and numerical skills, with an understanding of costs, markups, and profit margins.
  • English communication skills of at least 6/10, with the ability to understand job requirements, clarify specifications, and communicate professionally with US-based teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to manage multiple quotations.
  • Willingness to work full-time onsite during the specified shift.
  • Experience estimating commercial signage or wide-format printing jobs.
  • Familiarity with material costing, square-footage calculations, labour, fabrication, and finishing costs.

Note: Relevant hands-on experience is more important than a specific degree. Candidates with equivalent practical experience are welcome to apply.
