The posting

Horizon Tech is seeking a skilled and experienced Team Lead – IT Infrastructure to join our team. The Team Lead – IT Infrastructure will be responsible for leading and managing the IT Infrastructure team to maintain, secure, and optimize the organization's servers, network, cloud infrastructure, and other IT systems. This includes overseeing infrastructure operations, managing office networks and cloud servers, administering Linux systems and Asterisk SIP services, ensuring infrastructure security and reliability, and implementing improvements to enhance system performance, availability, and operational efficiency.

Must Haves

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, IT Support, Systems Administration, or Network Administration, with a focus on managing complex IT environments.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, including task delegation, performance monitoring, and technical oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems, including network protocols, hardware, servers, and storage.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection and prevention.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and administration.
  • Experience managing web hosting environments, cloud servers, and related infrastructure services.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Asterisk SIP servers and IP Telephony systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), user administration, and file and folder permissions.
  • Experience with system monitoring, data backups, disaster recovery, and infrastructure documentation.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be flexible to work rotational shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the IT Infrastructure team to maintain and support the organization's servers, network, and other IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee infrastructure operations, delegate tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure the availability and reliability of IT systems.
  • Manage and maintain the office network, coordinating with internet service providers when required to ensure stable and reliable connectivity.
  • Manage and maintain web hosting environments, cloud servers, and related infrastructure services.
  • Administer and maintain Linux servers, operating systems, and associated services.
  • Manage and maintain Asterisk SIP servers, IP Telephony systems, and related services.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security to ensure reliable operations.
  • Manage and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory users, Group Policy Objects, security groups, and access permissions.
  • Oversee data backups, disaster recovery operations, and infrastructure recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot complex server, network, and infrastructure issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Stay up-to-date with IT infrastructure and security developments and recommend upgrades and improvements.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure effective and efficient IT operations.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, infrastructure inventories, asset databases, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identify potential risks, and prepare reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and infrastructure management standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, internet service providers, and other stakeholders to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members and end-users to improve technical knowledge and operational efficiency.
