Job Summary

We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Commis III – Continental Hot Kitchen to join a professional kitchen team in Kuwait. The selected candidate will assist senior chefs in preparing and cooking Continental hot kitchen dishes while maintaining food quality, hygiene, and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of Continental cuisine, good kitchen practices, and a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior chefs in the daily preparation and production of Continental hot kitchen dishes.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, chopping, measuring, and portioning as required.
  • Assist in preparing soups, sauces, pasta, grilled items, vegetables, and other Continental dishes under supervision.
  • Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation procedures.
  • Maintain mise en place and ensure all ingredients are ready for daily kitchen operations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of food items using FIFO (First In, First Out).
  • Minimize food wastage and maintain consistency in food quality.
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods and perform other duties assigned by the chef.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine and hot kitchen operations.
  • Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, café, or professional kitchen is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, ingredient preparation, and kitchen hygiene.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn.
  • Must meet the specified nationality, gender, and age criteria.
