Data Analytics Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Arrangement: Onsite

About the Role

We are hiring a Data Analytics Engineer for an established organisation in the property development industry.

You will join an existing data team and take ownership of data modelling, integration, maintenance and governance, ensuring reliable data infrastructure and supporting business analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain data models, data pipelines and analytics infrastructure.
  • Manage data integration, transformation and maintenance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Establish and maintain data quality, validation and governance practices.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and analytical datasets to support business decision-making.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot data issues, optimise existing processes and improve overall data efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering or Data Science.
  • Strong hands-on experience in data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, data maintenance and governance.
  • Experience with Fivetran, Amazon QuickSight, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console (GSC), or comparable platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relevant data processing or analytics tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage end-to-end technical deliverables.
  • Experience in either corporate or startup environments.
  • Good communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work fully onsite in Kuala Lumpur.
