About the Role

Our client is a high-growth enterprise voice AI company building AI-powered systems that automate and improve customer interactions across sales, support and operational workflows.

They are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers across APAC, helping design, build and deploy production-grade AI solutions.

This is a highly customer-facing engineering role sitting at the intersection of software engineering, solution architecture and technical delivery. You will own projects from initial requirements through deployment, work closely with customer stakeholders, and feed real-world implementation learnings back into the product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Delivery & Solution Design

  • Own enterprise customer projects from initial requirements through production deployment.
  • Work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Design practical, scalable solutions using voice AI, LLMs and related technologies.
  • Translate customer needs into clear technical architectures and implementation plans.
  • Lead technical discussions, demos and solution walkthroughs.

Engineering & Implementation

  • Build and deploy AI-powered applications and integrations.
  • Develop production systems using Python, JavaScript or similar technologies.
  • Integrate APIs, customer systems and third-party services.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across application, integration and deployment layers.
  • Ensure solutions are reliable, maintainable and suitable for production environments.

Product & Engineering Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering and commercial teams to solve customer problems.
  • Identify recurring technical challenges and product gaps arising from customer deployments.
  • Provide structured feedback to engineering teams to improve product capabilities and developer experience.
  • Contribute to implementation patterns, technical documentation and reusable solutions.

APAC Market Development

  • Support the expansion of enterprise deployments across the APAC region.
  • Build strong relationships with customer engineering and business teams.
  • Travel regionally where required to support implementations, workshops and customer engagements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Customer Engineer, Technical Product Manager, Technical Consultant, Support Engineer or similar.
  • Strong software engineering capability, particularly in Python and/or JavaScript.
  • Experience working with APIs, integrations and production software systems.
  • Exposure to AI, LLMs, voice AI or other complex technical products.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable owning customer problems from initial discovery through implementation and resolution.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with changing requirements and incomplete information.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, including the ability to discuss technical requirements in both languages.
  • Willing and able to travel across APAC as required.
